No water line to Jagan bungalow

No water line to Jagan bungalow

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s palatial bungalow at Lotus Pond in Jubilee Hills does not have a drinking water connection. The application for a new water connection to the bungalow is pending with the Water Board. Though sources said that the Central Bureau of Investigation has enquired with the officials, Water Board managing director Adhar Sinha and other senior officials denied of any CBI officer approaching them.
Enquiries revealed that the application for water connection to Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bungalow was submitted six months ago. However, the Board did not give the connection as an extended line from 200 metres away needed to be laid to give the connection. Water Board local deputy general manager P. Yoganand confirmed that the application for new connection to the YSR Congress leader’s bungalow is still pending. “There were some local problems. That is why connection could not be given immediately. Besides, the Occupancy Certificate was not submitted along with the application,” he said.
The OC is mandatory to give new water and power connections as per GO 86 issued in 2006. The GHMC issues OC only if the building is constructed as per the plan approved by the town planning wing. In the case of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bungalow, the OC was not issued as the some construction works were pending at the time when GHMC officials had visited the bungalow. Meanwhile, the CBI has speeded up the probe into the Kadapa MP’s case. CBI has grilled several accused named in the case. On Tuesday, representatives of Vanpic were questioned. Investigators grilled Nimmagadda Prasad, the promoter of Vanpic. Also, the CBI recorded the statements of HDFC officials as witness in the case.
