Red Alert in Hyderabad

Hyderabad police sounds red alert

Hyderabad city police have declared a ‘red alert’ and stepped up security measures in communally sensitive areas here ahead of the Babri mosque demolition anniversary on December 6.
As a precautionary measure, additional forces have been deployed in sensitive areas and vehicle checks intensified in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad from this evening, Hyderabad Police Commissioner A K Khan said.
“With a view to avert any untoward incident, a ‘red alert’ has been issued and elaborate security arrangement has been made,” he said, adding that police have already taken a few ‘communal offenders’ into preventive custody.
